Under the stars at Fort Missoula, embark on a two-day camping experience during the fifth of six Journey Through Girl Scouting events. Inspired by founder and trailblazer Juliette Gordon Low, these events honor a century of Girl Scouting.
Missoula’s event will be focused on the 1970s and 80s, a time that saw renewed effort to promote career paths for girls and women in science. In reflection of these two decades, and in celebration of The Year of the Girl, participants will discover their inner ‘Girl Scout in Science’ by exploring areas of physics, biology, engineering, chemistry, architecture, and the world of sound.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore Historic Fort Missoula with docents on-hand to answer questions, participate in interactive booths, run experiments in science, play games, sing and learn new songs, and make new friends!
Come for the entire experience, or just come for a day! You choose your option.
