Girl Scout summer camp is all about trying new things, meeting new friends, and having fun in the great outdoors.

Explore nature, sing around the campfire, go horseback riding, do arts and crafts, and much more!

Go for a few days, a week, or longer. Any girl can attend!

So, “What will you do today?”             Things you didn’t know you could do?

Discover new things about yourself?             Accomplish something you’ve dreamed of?

Believe anything is possible, because it is.        Haven’t you always dreamed of doing great things?

Climb mountains, create with your hands, kayak and sail, or learn to play guitar.

We offer so many opportunities, the only problem you’ll have is deciding what to do.

Cost:$40/Girl; $40/Adult

Location:McCormick Park Parking Lot   Missoula, MT

Registration deadline: July 5
Girl min/max: 6/40
Adult min/max: 2/20

Girl Scouts and their families will enjoy a scenic and adventurous float through Hellgate Canyon and into Downtown Missoula. See Missoula from a new perspective!

Girls and their families will enjoy an afternoon on the water. Participants will go on a 2 hour scenic rafting trip with the best raft guides from ZooTown Surfers. Float on the Clark Fork river starting above Hellgate Canyon, and bob through waves as you pass through downtown Missoula.

You’ll float through the countryside and then pass by The University. You will see where Rattlesnake Creek joins the Clark Fork. See if you can spot Caras Park and Osprey Stadium and other Missoula landmarks like The Wilma. You’ll finish your float at McCormick Park. This tame, but scenic float takes you under the University and Madison St. walking bridges and several other bridges you normally pass over in your cars and bikes. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife like deer, osprey, trout, and bald eagles.

Girls should eat an early lunch before the program and bring a snack like a granola bar or fruit – but don’t use the river as a garbage can! Leave no trace! Pack a reusable water bottle and sunscreen. About 10 days before the event, we will send you a confirmation letter with all the preparations you will need to make for this trip.

The event is open to girls in grades 2 through 12 and their family members who are at least in 2nd grade. Want to bring your best gal pals? Have them join Girl Scouts and let’s get them signed up for this adventure! Girls in 2nd and 3rd grade must be accompanied by an adult (troop leader or parent/guardian).

After you experience this amazing trip, if you are looking for even more adventure, you’ll love our upcoming Wild River Ride on the Alberton Gorge on August 10th!

This event is open to girls in grades 2-12 and supervising adults.
