LEGO Robotics. And a Brownie bring a friend event

Here’s a note from Sarah Megyesi
, our GSLE Manager
Hello! I just wanted to give you all a heads-up about some upcoming FREE programs for our Butte Girl Scouts. Please share this information with your girls and their parents!

First, if you know of any girls ages 9 to 14 that want to join the LEGO robotics team for FREE (and they get a free GS membership), let me know – there’s still room! They meet Thursday nights at 6:30 on the MT Tech campus.

Also, we have the FREE program, Be Anything, Do Everything. This event is open to K-3rd graders. Girls will learn to dream BIG at this event that will also exhibit local career women heroes who will share their stories with the girls. Girls will each get to take home their own “I Can Be…” booklet as well as a “Barbie – Be Anything, Do Everything” fun patch. Girls can bring their Barbie Dolls to the event, too, dressed in her favorite career outfit. The event will be held at the Butte Public Library on Thursday, November 21st, from 5:30 to 7:00pm. The only catch??? Well, girls can attend this free event only if they bring one non-Girl Scout friend (K-3rd girl) to the event, too. The friend will have no obligation to join Girl Scouts, but they will get info on joining. The only way to register for this event is to call Dawn with your contact info as well as with the contact info for the girl’s guest (including phone number and address). Also, if you have any recommendations for inspiring women speakers, could you please give me their contact info or give her my contact info? Thank you!

Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to more programs this winter! We’ll be working on ice skating, curling, an all-new Journey Jamboree, and all-new “Mad Scientist” night, and more!!!
