TREASURER’S REPORT: $180.11 + $70 for Cookie rally
COUNCIL NEWS: Good Job getting your Cookie Orders in so smoothly! Thank you! We have new trucking company, so they should be delivered (to Thompson’s Distributing on Wynne Ave) by the end of the month. Cookie Booth Sales can begin as soon as troops have their cookies. Contact Bernies@gsmw to register your booth on the cookie locator site. The deadline for all deposits is April 22. Please remember to get two copies of each deposit slip (Mark them ‘TROOP XXXX Butte Cookies 2012’and give a copy to Vicki). Be sure to fill out a delinquent payment form to track any monies still owed.
GSMW Annual Meeting will be a Celebration of the 100th year. Among expected news: our Council has received national grants and raised memberships in our region. Sabrina White, Suzanne Nordwick and HL Meeks will represent our area as delegates. Chrissy and Sabrina will put together a basket for the auction supporting programming and camp scholarships for girls. Dawn explained the new patch girls earn when recruiting new girls.
We had an extensive side discussion about the need to encourage new leaders. Suggestions, ideas and comments welcome. Please help us grow Girl Scouts in our area!
Upcoming council trainings include: Song Workshop 4/3 5:30-6:30 BUTTE ($5 materials); Journey Training 4/10 6-9pm BUTTE (free); Leadership Essentials 4/26 6-9pm BUTTE (free); Outdoor Training 5/19 9:30-4:30 CASTLE ROCK ($15 materials & lunch)
Girl Scout Day at Silverwood this year is scheduled for June 30. Check out GSMW for more info.

Build a Bear in Billings has 100 year GS Outfits.
SERVICE UNIT NEWS: Globetrotters was fun, and well attended. The Cookie Rally went well. Thinking Day was fun and informative. Recommend more food for girls if we start before 7pm.

Friday, March 23, 2012 6:00 – 6:45 PM Registration 7: 00 PM Racing Begins Cost: $5/girl Registration + Patch
Location: Butte Plaza Mall Butte near Herberger’s
Track Set up on Monday night. Boy Scouts racing Tues Wed Thurs. Our Girls may register and check in on Thursday between 6:00 – 6:45 PM. Many trophies awarded for Girl Scouts
*Camp Clean Up – Butte (Grades K-12) Registration deadline: April 12
Saturday, April 18, 2012 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Cost: $5/girl Lunch + Patch
Location: Camp Castle Rock
Cleanup our camp for the new Season. Wear sturdy closed toe shoes, layers for the weather. Bring gloves and a water bottle. Hot dogs and S’mores at the campfire after clean up.
*Rockin’, Rollin’ & Reelin’ Dance – Butte (Grades K-12) Registration deadline: April 3
Saturday, April 28, 2012 4:30 PM – 6PM Cost: $5/Couple +$2 additional girl in advance $10/couple at the door
Location: Masonic Lodge W Park St
Bring your Dad, Uncle, Grandpa or favorite guy for a Dance Party just for Girl Scouts! DJ music, Refreshments, Portraits and Candid shots to remember this exciting evening. Semi Formal/Dance wear encouraged
